Bulletin # 7
Dear Villagers of Chevy Chase:
Spring and the Springirth Fund are here again! For the seventh year we make this appeal, and as "before, we hope that you will help us reach that $600 goal.
"Capt." Springirth, ex-Village watchman, now in his middle 80's and completely blind, looks forward to this fund, which enables him to have $50 a month throughout the year. In fact, he counts on it now. Your contributions are the only means we have of making this little pension possible for him.
Last year we asked that you give at least $3.00 and our collections just reached the necessary $600. Again, we say, please send us your $3.00 (or more If you wish) in the enclosed envelope.
On "behalf of the "Captain", I do thank you so very much!
Edith Claude Jarvis
