101 East Kirke Street house, garden, barn, carriage house (102 East Lenox Street) (p. 3 of 3: see 1000.119.01-02) April 25, 1999 Chevy Chase Historical Society Gala Panel #3 The Carriage House, stables?, barn? (for 101 E. Kirke St.) now 102 E. Lenox St. 1899 Mr. and Mrs. John L. Weaver's new house and barn on original property [1000.119.03a]. 1999 Site of original building and roof line shows original width and length; original height is unknown [see 1000.119.03b, and 2008.280.05]. 1924 Dr. and Mrs. Whitman Cross, new owners, added a shed and greenhouse to the east side [1000.119.03c, 1000.119.03d, and 2008.280.02-2]. 1945-54 Mr. and Mrs. Don C. Glassie, new owners, made the building into a liveable house, on the 1924 ground plan. 1954 102 E. Lenox St. sold separately from 101 E. Kirke St. Subsequent owners greatly enlarged it [1000.119.03e]. 1999 View of rear: garage, sun room, living room and porch additions [2008.280.03].
