Caption under photograph in calendar reads: "C. 1938 End of Era View is looking south to Chevy Chase Lake Station. Here the Kensington Line ended at the tracks (running from left to right) belonging to the B & O freight line to Georgetown. The tracks of the Kensington Line were abandoned in 1935 when Capital Transit Co. ran buses from Chevy Chase Circle to Kensington."
